A runner in stride

about

We Run the World is a record of movement. A runner, a place, a distance, and what the run meant.

It started with a habit: run wherever you land. A morning loop in Belgrade. Three miles through Kansas City heat. An hour along the Seattle waterfront with the Space Needle keeping time. The mileage was never the point. The point was the place, and the person you were in it.

Most running apps flatten that into a chart. This one keeps the story. Each entry is a photograph, a city, a distance, and a few honest sentences. Then it becomes a pin on the map, next to everyone else's.

Locations stay at the city level. No routes, no start points, no coordinates. Where you ran is a place on a map, not a trail back to your door.

Phase one is a single voice, so the tone gets set before the crowd arrives. The map is built to hold many.
